Biography Of David Hovan

About the Speaker:

David Hovan is an Operation Management professional with over 13 years of experience in the Automotive, Aerospace and Medical industries. Having held various positions of increasing responsibility during his career in Planning, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Warehouse management, he has a unique perspective of Operations Management.  David has worked for AlliedSignal (currently Honeywell), Eaton Corporation, CF Gomma USA Inc, and is currently Director of Planning and Analysis at Physicians Sales and Services (PSS).  David has achieved positive business results in sourcing, inventory management, planning, and operations and has been involved with plant closures and startups, product line equipment transfers, a union work-stoppage, and numerous lean and six sigma initiatives. 

 David’s academic achievements include a Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing and Operations Management from Bowling Green State University, Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Baldwin Wallace College, Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), Six-Sigma Black-belt Certification and he successfully completed the Lean Institute course at the University of Tennessee.

 David Hovan is originally from Cleveland, Ohio and currently lives in Jacksonville with his wife Ornela.
