Biography Of Denise Gillespie CPIM, CIRM, CSCP “Planning during Dynamic Times” This presentation will look at the need for business planning and the process used in Enterprise Resource Planning. The focus will be on APICS basic concepts in planning, encompassing such topics as Sales and Operations Planning, Master Scheduling in various production environments, and the use of MRP/CRP. Additionally, attendees will be shown how to use various tools to assist in handling the dynamics of today’s business environment, with an eye on future trends. This presentation is a good starting point for planners, schedulers, or production supervisors who need to understand some basic planning concepts and tools. Additionally, it can serve to assist any seasoned resource management professional who needs help seeing how all the pieces fit together.About the Speaker: Denise D. Gillespie, of The Denmark Group, Inc., has more than 20 years management experience in developing and implementing operation strategies and change throughout organizations. She is proficient in ERP system selections & implementations, project management, World Class Manufacturing Concepts & Supplier Management. Her knowledge of make–to-stock, make-to-order, assemble-to-order, and engineered-to-order businesses allows her to understand the differentiating factors between these types of enterprises. She has worked in job shop, process, and repetitive environments encompassing such industries as electronic assembly, medical device, fabricated plastics, HVAC, cable & wire, as well as others. Denise has been active in APICS for 20 years, serving in numerous Board of Director positions at the Chapter level, including Past-President of the Greater Jacksonville Area Chapter. She is certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and Integrated Resource Management (C.I.R.M.), and is an APICS-Certified Instructor. She is a frequent speaker at chapter presentations across the Southeast, and has been an adjunct instructor at The University of North Florida in Jacksonville. Denise holds an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University and a B.S. in Management from Florida State University. |
