Message from the President
Dear Members,
It is a pleasure for me and the entire Board of Directors to welcome you back to a to a new and exciting APICS year!
We are starting our first Professional Development Meeting on September 9, featuring Bob Young, MBA, ASQ Six Sigma certified, ASQ Manager of Quality certified. Bob has a solid background in Quality, Manufacturing Systems and Engineering. His topic: “Defining the Value Stream through the Supply Chain”. The dinner and meeting will take place in the new Squid Lips Restaurant in Melbourne.
In the educational department this year we will continue to provide CPIM certification review classes at Harris with 3 courses offered during the course of the year. We are starting the rotation with “Basics of Supply Chain Management” starting on Wednesday, September 17. Deadline for registering for the class is Wednesday, September 3.
The APICS International Conference and Exposition “Hot Issues/Cool Solutions” is scheduled this year from September 14-16 in Kansas City, Missouri. Remember to let me know if you are planning on attending so a especial discounted Chapter price can be offered to you.
